Good Morning!

Last week, Capcom announced that Street Fighter X Tekken is currently under development (or as Itagaki-san would like to call it, a ‘baby’) and will be unleashed ‘real soon.’ If you have asked me about a week ago what would be the game of 2011, my answer would be Marvel Vs. Capcom 3. But now, my judgment has changed. Joe showed me the first trailer, which I would now show you.

This is certainly going set up to be the game of 2011. It’s real hard for me to change my judgement on certain games, but it happens. I understand that Capcom will make the game using the Street Fighter IV engine, and Namco Bandai will make it using the Tekken 6 engine (ah, double the pleasure!) So now what? I would continue to monitor the news about this game. Oh, and for those who don’t know, Street Fighter X Tekken would be released way after Marvel Vs. Capcom 3. The producer of Street Fighter X Tekken said that she would wait and see how Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 fares with the fans.

Up and Downs @ the Big N

Sometimes you see ups, and then you see downs. Nintendo’s no stranger to ups and downs, but when the chief is making less yenla than all of the other publishing heads; and when Miyamoto-san starts discussing a new original character, it’s a great example of this fact.

Satoru Iwata, CEO of Nintendo, makes less than 187 billion yen. That is about $2.1 million. $767,313 (68 million yen) out of that 2.1 mil is Iwata’s salary, the rest is awarded based upon how good a job he’s doing. His top breadmaker isn’t faring much better. Miyamoto makes about 100 million yen, or $1.13 million. That amount is his cut out of a bonus pool he shares with six other board members. Compared to the rest of the breadwinners on the list, this is chunk change:

The original source also lists a salary comparison to other game company heads. Sega Sammy Holdings CEO Osamu Satomi earns ¥435 million a year (US$4.9 million); Sony CEO Howard Stringer earns ¥816.5 million a year (US$9.2 million), while Sony CFO Nobuyuki Oneda earns ¥164.39 million a year (US$1.85 million); Namco Bandai Holdings president Kazunori Ueno earns ¥137 million a year (US$1.5 million); and Square Enix CEO Yoichi Wada earns ¥240 million a year (US$2.7 million).

Source: GameSpot\Andria Sang\Asahi

The up that is taking place is that Miyamoto told a bunch of Nintendo shareholders that he is thinking about releasing a new original game character. He also hints on the game Pikmin, which I am sure you are pretty familiar with. The game was based on his hobby at the time, which was gardening. His new hobby is swimming, in which he talks to a lot of the youth of his community. Kinda makes things cloudy, doesn’t it? I am sure all would me made clear in time.

In closing, ups, as well as downs, are commonplace in this business. You have to live with them.

But first, a little site news. I am sorry for the absence. I have recently moved to a better location next to downtown Montgomery, so I can be able to walk to my favorite destinations downtown (wanna join me at the Alley?) So I will make it up with some fresh stuff, including the pictures I am about to show you.

I was cruising through GossipGamers and I found these pictures of console-inspired building designs. Now, I am pretty sure these are PhotoShopped, but I show, you decide.

First up is a buliding in the shape of a DS…

I think the top screen is going to be where the construction crew will try to put into place the ida-know-how-many-inches HD screen…

Next, an NES-style building…

Where’s the entrance? Oh, maybe the cartridge slot… That’s gonna be a really loong staircase…

Finally, a building with a PS3 theme to it…

How they got the figure right, I may never know…

Thanks to my friends at GossipGamers for these pics!

today I want to talk about this new game that Joe showed me about a number of days ago. Now anyone who has heard me for a great little while knows my Ichikia posts. There exists nothing but mess all around as Rukia puts up with another day of Ichigo’s constant BS. This is a love-hate relationship, which means that both of them love and hate each other. Now I want you to picture that there is another egomaniac like Ichigo in the RPG universe. We have found him. Ladies and gentlemen, say hello to Crais Sewell. This man is mad with anything, even kids, which strikes me as downright low. Wanna hear some proof? [cut] When he learned that he got a got the first thing he asked for was the down payment. He got it… and was weaseled right outta it! Here’s the exchange. [cut] The next thing Crais needed to know was his new employer. it was a little kid, Sophie. He got mad about that and the song she was singing. I see no reason why one would get mad over a little girl singing. Listen. [cut] And so the crazy adventures of Crais and Sophie began. I like watching the two of them talk, because for the same reason why I continue to watch the Kurosaki-Kuchiki comedy tour – it make the game fun. Oh, and another point, both Ichigo and Crais are voiced by the same voice actor, Johnny von Bosh. I guess that’s his preference – the cold, emotioness jerk.
